Del Vino Vineyards, located on Norwood Avenue in Northport, has been named the 2025 Mort Harris Small Business of the Year by the Small Business Council of America (SBCA), a national nonprofit that represents more than 100,000 privately held and family-owned businesses.
The award was presented last month, during the SBCA’s 42nd Annual Public Affairs Day and Congressional Awards Reception in Washington, D.C. The event recognized entrepreneurs, lawmakers and advocates for their leadership and contributions to the small business sector.
Founded in 2018 by Fred and Lisa Giachetti, Del Vino Vineyards employs about 150 people each year and draws thousands of visitors to Northport. The vineyard was honored for its business operations as well as its community involvement, including support for local charitable efforts and frontline workers during the pandemic.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this award from the SBCA,” said Fred. “It’s a testament to our amazing team, our supportive community and our family’s belief that great businesses can also be great neighbors.”
The SBCA also recognized Del Vino for its commitment to sustainability and positive social impact in the region.
